Why Do I Need To Have My Air Conditioner(AC) Coils Cleaned?

What are Air Conditioner Coils? What are their Functions?

There are two coils for a standard air-conditioning system, these are the condenser coil and the evaporator coil.  The function of these coils is to condition the air by removing heat from the indoor air. This is accomplished by using a refrigerant that  boils at low pressure. Once the heat from the indoor air is absorbed by  the evaporator coil the superheated refrigerant travels to the outdoor condenser  coil where it is sub cooled and returned to the evaporator coil to be superheated again.  This process is repeated over and over until the thermostat set point temperature is satisfied and at this point the HVAC system cycles off until the indoor air temperature rises above the thermostat set point.

What are the Benefits of having my Air Conditioner Coils cleaned?

Having your evaporator coil and condenser coil cleaned has many benefits. Dirty coils will lower the efficiency of any HVAC system because a filthy coil prevents proper absorption of the indoor heat and prevents proper release of that absorbed heat. With all coils air must flow freely through the coils and so with blocked coils air may not be traveling freely and result in higher cooling times and excessive cycling of the HVAC system. The benefits of having your evaporator coil and condenser coil cleaned results in faster cooling times and less system cycling resulting in higher energy efficiency by the HVAC system.

How do the Professionals clean Air Conditioner Coils?

Professional HVAC technicians clean evaporator calls by one of two methods. They clean the evaporator coil either in place or remove the coil from its housing to clean. A professional grade coil cleaner is then sprayed onto the coil which helps remove dirt and debris from the evaporator coil. Once the coil cleaner is left to sit on the evaporator coil for a few minutes water is then used to remove the cleaner and excess dirt and grime. Condenser coils are also cleaned by using coil cleaner but the coil need not be removed.

Cost of Air Conditioner Coil Cleaning.

Air conditioner coil cleaning prices can vary depending on the size and degree of difficulty of cleaning, by calling a professional coil cleaning company(HVAC) the homeowner can get a quote for professional cleaning.

  2. Your Ducts can get quite dirty and your evaporator coil can get clogged and the result can be ice formation on the coil itself.

  4. Generally, the thickness of the Rotary evaporator is usually equipped with good chemical and physical properties. From here:www.toption-china.com/rotary-evaporator. And it can work under the ordinary or positive pressure.
